Method
Burger Preparation
- 1
Forming the Patties
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- 2
- 3
Adding Cheese
If making cheeseburgers, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover to melt the cheese.
- 4
Toasting the Buns
While the patties are cooking, cut the hamburger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 5
Assembling the Burger
Once cooked, place each patty on the bottom half of a bun. Add lettuce, sliced tomato, and onion as desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
Fries Preparation
- 6
Preparing the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 7
Seasoning the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- 8
Baking the Fries
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, turning halfway through.
- 9
Serving
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving alongside the burgers.
