Flank Steak

French Fries

Method

Flank Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped fresh rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Add the Steak

Place the flank steak in the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest and Slice

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice against the grain into thin strips.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble French fries.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the soaked potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
