Pancake Batter

Method

Pancake Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.

  4. 4

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or additional melted butter.

  5. 5

    Cook Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Repeat

Continue with the remaining batter, adding more butter to the pan as needed.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Pancakes

Stack the pancakes on a plate while they are warm.

  2. 8

    Add Toppings

Generously drizzle dulce de leche over the pancakes. Optionally, add Nutella as a substitute, and top with fresh fruit and whipped cream as desired.

  3. 9

    Serve Immediately

Serve the pancakes warm with additional dulce de leche or Nutella on the side.
