Method

Meat Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cutlets

Season the beef or chicken cutlets with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Breading

  1. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, whisk the eggs in the second bowl, and combine the bread crumbs with grated parmesan cheese in the third bowl.

  2. 3

    Bread the Cutlets

Dredge each cutlet in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip in the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb and parmesan mixture. Set aside on a plate.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 5

    Fry the Cutlets

Carefully place the breaded cutlets in the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry each side for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Sides

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into wedges. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and toss with chopped parsley.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve the milanesa hot with the potato wedges and lemon wedges on the side.
