Method

Preparing the Chimichurri Sauce

  1. 1

    Chop the Herbs

Finely chop the fresh parsley and cilantro and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Garlic

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the herbs.

  3. 3

    Mix the Ingredients

Add the red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix everything together until well combined.

  4. 4

    Let it Sit

Allow the chimichurri sauce to sit for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld. You can also refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before serving.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 6

    Prepare the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil and season them with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 7

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 8

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Steak

Slice the steak against the grain and place it on a serving platter.

  2. 10

    Top with Chimichurri

Generously spoon the chimichurri sauce over the sliced steak.

  3. 11

    Enjoy!

Serve the chimichurri steak immediately, and enjoy with your favorite sides.
