Method
Chimichurri Sauce Directions
- 1
Prepare the Herbs
Rinse the fresh parsley and fresh oregano under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
- 2
Chop the Herbs
Finely chop the fresh parsley and fresh oregano using a sharp knife or a food processor. Ensure the herbs are minced well to release their flavors.
- 3
Mince the Garlic
Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely. You can use a garlic press or chop them with a knife for a finer texture.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped parsley, chopped oregano, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- 5
Mix Well
Stir the mixture well using a whisk or a spoon until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined. The sauce should have a vibrant green color.
- 6
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the chimichurri sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes to suit your taste.
- 7
Rest the Sauce
Let the chimichurri sauce sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld together. For best results, refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
- 8
Serve
Serve the chimichurri sauce as a condiment with grilled meats, vegetables, or bread. Enjoy!
