Method

Prepare the Bread

  1. 1

    Slice the Baguette

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Brush with Olive Oil

Place the sliced baguette on a baking sheet. Brush one side of each slice generously with olive oil.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bread

Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Prepare the Topping

  1. 4

    Prepare the Tomato Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

  2. 5

    Add Cheeses

Fold in the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese into the tomato mixture until evenly distributed.

Assemble the Bruschetta

  1. 6

    Top the Bread

Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven. Spoon the tomato and cheese mixture generously onto the toasted side of each slice.

  2. 7

    Final Toast

Return the topped baguette slices to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve

  1. 8

    Ready to Serve

Remove the bruschetta from the oven. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional olive oil if desired.
