Marinara Sauce
Method
Cooking Spaghetti

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4-6 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.

Cook Spaghetti
Add the gluten-free spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Making Marinara Sauce

Heat Olive Oil
In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Allow it to heat for about 1 minute.

Add Tomatoes
Pour in the 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes. Stir well to combine with the garlic and oil.

Season Sauce
Add 1 tsp of dried oregano, 1 tsp of dried basil, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black pepper, and 1 tsp of sugar. Stir to combine all ingredients.

Simmer Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combining and Serving

Mix Pasta with Sauce
Add the drained spaghetti to the simmering marinara sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

Garnish and Serve
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil leaves on top.
