Prepare Garlic Oil

Infuse Olive Oil
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the olive oil and garlic cloves. Heat gently for about 10 minutes until the garlic is soft and fragrant, but do not let it brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before straining out the garlic. Set aside.
Prepare Bread

Slice and Brush
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the Italian loaf in half lengthwise. Place the halves on a baking sheet, cut side up. Brush the cut sides generously with the infused garlic oil.
Add Toppings

Melt Cheese
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the brushed cut sides of the bread. Then, add the grated Parmesan cheese on top. Season with salt and black pepper.
Bake

Bake Bread
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is golden brown.
Serve

Slice and Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into pieces and serve warm.
