Preparation
- 1
Trim the Green Beans
Rinse the fresh green beans under cold water. Use a sharp knife to trim the ends of each bean by cutting off about 1/4 inch from both ends.
- 2
Prepare the Seasoning
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, black pepper, and fresh lemon juice. Whisk until well blended.
Cooking
- 3
Sauté the Green Beans
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the trimmed green beans and sauté them for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
- 4
Add Seasoning
Pour the prepared seasoning mixture over the sautéed green beans. Toss well to ensure the beans are evenly coated with the seasoning. Continue to sauté for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Remove the skillet from heat. Taste the green beans and adjust seasoning with extra salt or lemon juice if desired. Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately.
