Method

Preparing the Salad

  1. 1

    Wash and Prepare Vegetables

Thoroughly wash all vegetables under cold running water. Pat dry with a clean towel.

  2. 2

    Chop the Lettuce

Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

  3. 3

    Halve the Cherry Tomatoes

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and add them to the bowl with the lettuce.

  4. 4

    Slice the Cucumber

Peel the cucumber if desired, then slice it into rounds or half-moons and add to the salad bowl.

  5. 5

    Grate the Carrot

Peel the carrot and grate it using a grater. Add the grated carrot to the salad bowl.

  6. 6

    Slice the Red Onion

Thinly slice the red onion and add it to the salad bowl. Use less if you prefer a milder flavor.

  7. 7

    Chop the Bell Pepper

Remove the seeds and stem from the bell pepper, chop it into bite-sized pieces, and add it to the salad bowl.

Making the Dressing

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until well blended.

  2. 9

    Taste and Adjust Seasoning

Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or honey if desired.

Combining Salad and Dressing

  1. 10

    Dress the Salad

Pour the dressing over the prepared salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients evenly.

  2. 11

    Serve Immediately

Serve the salad immediately for the freshest taste. Enjoy!
