Marinade

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, grated fresh ginger, lemon juice, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 4

    Prepare the Grill Grates

Lightly oil the grill grates with a paper towel soaked in oil to prevent sticking.

  3. 5

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 6

    Add Lemon and Dill

During the last minute of grilling, add lemon slices on top of the salmon and sprinkle with fresh dill (if using) for added flavor.

  5. 7

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy your marinated and grilled salmon with your favorite sides.
