Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, chopped green garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

Add the large shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, prepare it for direct cooking.

  2. 4

    Skewering the Shrimp

If desired, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers for easier handling on the grill. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.

  3. 5

    Grill the Shrimp

Place the shrimp directly on the grill or on the skewers. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Garnish

Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for garnish.

  2. 7

    Serve Immediately

Serve the grilled green garlic shrimp hot, with lemon wedges on the side if desired.
