Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Rub the brisket with a mixture of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Brisket

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Add the wood chips for smoking. Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for 15 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).

  3. 3

    Cook the Sausage

While the brisket is smoking, grill or pan-fry the pork hot link sausage until cooked through and nicely browned.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Texas Tornado

Slice the smoked brisket thinly. On a serving platter, layer the sliced brisket and grilled sausage. Top with Bros. pickles, chopped onion, and drizzle with barbecue sauce.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve warm and enjoy your Texas Tornado!
