Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Rub the beef ribs generously with the beef rub. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Smoker

Soak the wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes. Prepare your smoker and preheat it to 225°F (107°C).

  3. 3

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker and add the soaked wood chips to the smoker box. Smoke the ribs for about 6 hours or until they reach an internal temperature of 203°F (95°C).

  4. 4

    Add Barbecue Sauce

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Cornbread

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together, then add the melted butter. Combine both mixtures and pour into a greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Prepare Sides

Serve coleslaw and baked beans as sides to your smoked beef ribs.

  7. 7

    Serve

Plate the smoked beef ribs with sides and a chunk of cornbread. Enjoy!
