Pork Ribs

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Preparation

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs. This will help the ribs become tender and absorb flavors better.

  3. 3

    Make the Dry Rub

In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  4. 4

    Season the Ribs

Rub the dry mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.

  5. 5

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker and smoke for 3 hours, maintaining a temperature of 225°F (107°C).

  6. 6

    Add Moisture

After 3 hours, spray the ribs with apple cider vinegar to keep them moist.

  7. 7

    Finish Cooking

Continue to smoke the ribs for an additional 2 hours, spraying them with apple cider vinegar every 30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

In the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce, allowing it to caramelize slightly.

  9. 9

    Rest and Serve

Once done, remove the ribs from the smoker, let them rest for 10 minutes, then cut into portions and serve.
