Prepare the Burger Patties
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into two equal portions and shape each into a patty.

Cook the Burgers
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.

Prepare the Vegetables
Slice the tomato and wash the lettuce leaf.

Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
Assembly

Build the Burger
Spread the mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the lettuce leaf on top, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, onion rings, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Top with a slice of tomato and cover with the top half of the bun.
