Cold Brew Ingredients

Method

Cold Brew Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coffee Grounds

Measure out 1 cup of coarse ground coffee. It's important to use a coarse grind to prevent over-extraction and bitterness.

  2. 2

    Combine Coffee and Water

In a large pitcher or jar, combine the 1 cup of coarse ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water. Stir gently to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated.

  3. 3

    Steep the Mixture

Cover the pitcher or jar and let the mixture steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours. The longer it steeps, the stronger the brew will be.

  4. 4

    Strain the Cold Brew

After steeping, strain the coffee concentrate through a fine mesh strainer or a coffee filter into another pitcher or jar to remove the coffee grounds.

  5. 5

    Serve the Cold Brew

Fill a glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup) and pour the cold brew concentrate over the ice. The ratio of cold brew to water is typically 1:1, but you can adjust based on your preference.

  6. 6

    Customize Your Drink

Add milk or cream and sweetener to taste if desired. Stir well and enjoy your refreshing cold brew coffee!
