Toppings
Method
Prepare Chicken Tenders
- 1
Marinate Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and chicken tenders. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
- 2
Prepare Breading
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 3
Bread Chicken
Remove chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge the chicken tenders in the flour mixture until fully coated. Shake off excess flour.
- 4
Fry Chicken
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add chicken tenders in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make Belgian Waffles
- 5
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- 6
- 7
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
- 8
Cook Waffles
Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions. Pour the appropriate amount of batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
