Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the gluten-free all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Set aside.

Mixing Ingredients

  1. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

  2. 4

    Add Egg and Vanilla

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and mix until well combined.

  3. 5

    Combine with Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Adding Mix-ins and Baking

  1. 6

    Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  2. 7

    Scoop and Bake

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.

  3. 8

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
