Half-and-Half
Preparing the Espresso
1. Grind the Coffee Beans
Grind 18 grams of espresso coffee beans to a fine consistency suitable for espresso brewing.
2. Prepare the Espresso Machine
Turn on your espresso machine and allow it to heat up for about 15 minutes for optimal brewing temperature.
3. Brew the Espresso
Fill the portafilter with the ground coffee and tamp it down firmly. Lock the portafilter into the machine and start the brewing process. Extract 60 ml of espresso into a cup.
Preparing the Half-and-Half
4. Heat the Half-and-Half
In a small saucepan, gently heat 90 ml of half-and-half cream over low heat until warm, but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
5. Sweeten (Optional)
Add sugar to the warm half-and-half according to your taste, stirring until dissolved.
Combining the Ingredients
6. Combine Espresso and Half-and-Half
Pour the warm half-and-half into the brewed espresso, stirring gently to combine the flavors.
7. Serve
Serve immediately in a warm cup, and enjoy your Breve! Optionally, you can sprinkle some cocoa powder or cinnamon on top for added flavor.
