Lemonade Preparation

Juicing the Lemons
Cut the fresh lemons in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or by hand until you have approximately 1 cup of lemon juice.

Mixing the Lemonade
In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar completely.

Adding Water
Pour in 4 cups of cold water into the pitcher and mix thoroughly. Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.

Chilling
Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill before serving.

Serving with Ice
When ready to serve, add 2 cups of ice to the pitcher or individual glasses.

On a small plate, combine 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
