Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wild Mushroom Confit

In a skillet, sauté wild mushrooms in a little olive oil over medium heat until soft. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the onion and cook in a skillet with butter over low heat until golden brown and caramelized, about 20 minutes.

  3. 3

    Roast the Garlic

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30 minutes until soft. Squeeze out the roasted garlic and mix with a little butter to create the spread.

  4. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the smoked bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

Form and Cook the Wagyu Burger

Form the wagyu beef into a patty and season with salt and pepper. Cook on a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare. Top with aged cheddar cheese during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On a bun (not included in ingredients), spread the roasted garlic mixture, place the cooked wagyu patty, add caramelized onions, wild mushroom confit, bacon, and bibb lettuce.

French Fry Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips for fries.

  2. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
