Marinate Chicken

Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Marinate Chicken
Add the chicken breasts to the buttermilk mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Prepare Breading

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
Fry Chicken

Heat Oil
In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Bread Chicken
Remove chicken from the marinade and let excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture until fully coated.

Fry Chicken
Carefully place breaded chicken in hot oil. Fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assemble Sandwich

Cook Bacon
In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Build the Sandwich
On the bottom half of the brioche bun, place a slice of American cheese, then the crispy chicken, followed by bacon, pickled green tomatoes, and a generous dollop of peppercorn mayo. Top with the other half of the bun.
