Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions (approximately 8 oz each) and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Burger

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and add a slice of provolone cheese on top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.

Preparing the Toppings

5

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

6

Slice the Avocado

While the bacon is cooking, slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice it into thin pieces.

Assembling the Burger

7

Prepare the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

8

Build the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the bun. Layer lettuce, the cooked burger patty with melted provolone, crispy bacon, avocado slices, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
