Steak Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps the steak cook more evenly.
- 2
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F or 232°C). Make sure the grates are clean and oiled to prevent sticking.
- 4
Grill the Steak
Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare. Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side. Adjust cooking time according to your desired doneness.
- 5
Rest the Steak
Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
Side Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Asparagus
While the steak is resting, wash the asparagus and snap off the tough ends. Toss them in a tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- 7
Grill the Asparagus
Place the seasoned asparagus on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are tender and slightly charred.
- 8
- 9
Serve the Meal
Slice the rested ribeye steaks and serve alongside grilled asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes.
