Burger Patty
Burger Assembly
Method
Prepare Burger Patty
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the Kobe beef, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
Shape the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.
Cook Burger Patty
Cook the Patties
Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.
Assemble the Burger
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Build the Burger
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked Kobe patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Drizzle ketchup and Dijon mustard on top before placing the top half of the bun.
