Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Begin by chilling your champagne flute or cocktail glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.

  2. 2

    Mix the Grapefruit Juice

In a separate mixing glass, add 30 ml of fresh grapefruit juice. If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can add a little sugar or simple syrup at this stage.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Add 6 ice cubes to the mixing glass containing the grapefruit juice to cool it down.

  4. 4

    Combine with Champagne

Slowly pour 120 ml of Brut Champagne into the mixing glass with the grapefruit juice. Stir gently to combine without losing the bubbles.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the ice from the chilled glass, if used, and strain the mixture into the glass, ensuring it is filled to the top but without overflowing.

  6. 6

    Garnish

Finally, garnish with a wedge of grapefruit on the rim of the glass for an elegant touch.
