Chicken Wings

BBQ Sauce

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

Place the chicken wings in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

Cooking the Wings

  1. 3

    Bake the Chicken Wings

Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.

Preparing the Sauce

  1. 4

    Buffalo Sauce

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the hot sauce, unsalted butter, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is well mixed. Remove from heat.

  2. 5

    BBQ Sauce

If using BBQ sauce, simply pour it into a bowl and set aside for serving.

Making Blue Cheese Dressing

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine blue cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Mix Until Smooth

Using a fork or whisk, mash and mix the ingredients until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serving

  1. 8

    Toss Wings in Sauce

Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven. If using buffalo sauce, toss the wings in the sauce until evenly coated. For BBQ, serve the wings with BBQ sauce on the side.

  2. 9

    Serve with Dressing

Serve the wings hot with blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
