Method
Cajun Chicken
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
Cook the Chicken
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
Alfredo Sauce
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Finish the Sauce
Gradually whisk in the grated parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
Pasta
Cook the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Combine Pasta and Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained pasta with the Alfredo sauce. Toss until the fettuccine is fully coated.
Garlic Bread
Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic powder and chopped parsley.
Make the Garlic Bread
Cut the French bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Assembly
Plate the Dish
Slice the cooked Cajun chicken and place it over the fettuccine Alfredo. Top with additional grated parmesan cheese if desired. Serve with the garlic bread on the side.
