Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Place the sliced bread on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Chop the Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, dice the fresh tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Basil
Rinse the fresh basil leaves, pat them dry, and chop them coarsely. Add to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Add Cheese
Dice the fresh mozzarella cheese into small cubes and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes and basil.

Season the Mixture
Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the mixture. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently toss to combine all ingredients.

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon the tomato, basil, and mozzarella mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.
