Method
Prepare the Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This will help achieve crispiness.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture until they are evenly coated.
Fry the Wings
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the wings and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Prepare the Buffalo Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Once the butter is melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well combined and heated through.
Toss the Wings
- 7
Coat Wings with Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the fried wings with the prepared buffalo sauce until they are evenly coated.
Serve
- 8
Prepare for Serving
Cut the celery stalks into sticks and arrange them on a serving platter alongside the buffalo wings.
- 9
Add Dressing
Serve the wings with blue cheese dressing for dipping.
