Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip the patties.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. You can toast them lightly on the grill if desired.

  2. 7

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked cheeseburger patty. Add a slice of tomato and some onion rings on top.

  3. 8

    Add Condiments

Top with ketchup and mustard to taste, then place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately with your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
