Jalapeño Infused Tequila

Margarita Mix

Method

Jalapeño Infusion

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds for a milder infusion or leave them in for more heat.

  2. 2

    Infuse the Tequila

Place the cut jalapeños into a clean glass jar and pour the tequila over them. Seal the jar tightly and let it sit at room temperature for 3 days to infuse. Taste daily for desired spiciness.

  3. 3

    Strain the Infused Tequila

After 3 days, strain the tequila through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the jalapeños. Store the infused tequila in a clean bottle.

Margarita Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Glass

Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita glass. Dip the rim into a small plate of salt to coat it evenly.

  2. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 120 ml of the jalapeño-infused tequila, 120 ml of fresh lime juice, and 60 ml of agave syrup.

  3. 6

    Shake and Chill

Add 2 cups of ice to the shaker. Seal it and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

  4. 7

    Serve the Margarita

Strain the cocktail into the prepared margarita glass filled with ice. Garnish with lime wedges.
