Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned and slightly charred. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness, or until your desired level of doneness is reached.

Burger Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Tomato

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into medium-thick slices.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Once the patties are cooked, place each patty on the bottom half of a burger bun. Top each with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a generous amount of special sauce. Place the top half of the bun on the burger.
