Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Sweet Potato
Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into small pieces. Steam or boil them until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash them in a bowl.
- 2
Mix the Ingredients
In the bowl with the mashed sweet potatoes, add the osmanthus flavored red bean paste, salt, and all-purpose flour. Mix well until a dough forms.
- 3
Form the Bites
Take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls or small bite-sized shapes. Dip each piece in water and roll them in sesame seeds until fully coated.
- 4
Fry the Bites
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the sesame bites in the oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove the bites from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
