Dumpling Filling

Method

Dumpling Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the shelled edamame, grated ginger, finely chopped mushrooms, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Dumplings

Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to create a half-moon shape, and pinch to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Cook the Dumplings

In a large pan, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Place the dumplings in the pan, making sure not to overcrowd. Pan-fry for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Add a splash of water to the pan, cover, and steam for an additional 3-4 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through.
