Method

Preparing Shrimp

  1. 1

    Boil Shrimp

In a pot, bring water to a boil and add Old Bay seasoning and the juice of half a lemon. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat, drain, and cool in ice water.

Making Crustini

  1. 2

    Prepare Pita Crustini

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut pita bread into triangles, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Bake for 10-12 minutes until crispy and golden.

Creating Puree

  1. 3

    Mango-Horseradish Puree

In a blender, combine the mango flesh, horseradish, and lime juice. Blend until smooth and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Making Cocktail Sauce

  1. 4

    Prepare Cocktail Sauce

In a bowl, mix together ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Adjust horseradish to taste.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 5

    Plate the Shrimp Cocktail

On a serving plate, create a bed of shredded greens. Arrange the cooked shrimp on top, serve with the mango-horseradish puree and cocktail sauce, and garnish with Parmesan crustini.
