Base Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Panna Cotta

  1. 1

    Bloom the Gelatin

In a small bowl, combine the gelatin powder with the water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes soft and spongy.

  2. 2

    Combine Cream and Milk

In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.

  3. 3

    Add Vanilla and Gelatin

Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Pour into Molds

Evenly pour the mixture into individual serving cups or molds. Allow them to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Chill the Panna Cotta

Cover the cups or molds with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.

Serving Suggestions

  1. 6

    Prepare Toppings

While the panna cotta is chilling, wash and prepare fresh berries. If desired, prepare caramel sauce for drizzling.

  2. 7

    Serve

Once the panna cotta is set, carefully unmold (if using molds) or simply serve from the cups. Top with fresh berries, mint leaves, and a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
