Steak

Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into even fries, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with a towel. Fry them in batches for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 9

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Aioli

  1. 10

    Prepare the Garlic

    Mince the garlic cloves finely.

  2. 11

    Mix the Aioli

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth.

  3. 12

    Season the Aioli

Add salt to taste and adjust if necessary.
