Cocktail Ingredients

Method

Cocktail Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves against the bottom of the glass. This releases the mint's essential oils and combines it with the sugar. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much.

  2. 2

    Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass. You can also drop one half of the lime into the glass for added flavor. Stir the mixture gently to dissolve the sugar completely.

  3. 3

    Incorporate the Rum

Pour the white rum into the glass over the muddled mint, sugar, and lime mixture. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to your desired level. This will help chill the cocktail and keep it refreshing.

  5. 5

    Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice-filled glass, filling it to the top. This adds a fizzy touch to the cocktail.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy your refreshing classic mojito!
