Burger Preparation

Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal patties.

Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers
Spread dijonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by dill pickle slices and onion rings. Top with the other half of the bun.

Heat the Oil
In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips in batches to the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
