Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Salmon
Start by patting the salmon filets dry with a paper towel. This will help achieve a nice sear.
- 2
Season the Salmon
In a small bowl, mix together the sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning evenly over both sides of the salmon filets.
- 3
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering but not smoking.
- 4
Cook the Salmon
Carefully place the salmon filets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked halfway up the sides.
- 5
Flip the Salmon
Using a spatula, gently flip the salmon filets over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- 6
Finish and Serve
Remove the salmon from the skillet and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Garnish with fresh dill before serving.
