Method
Seafood Preparation
- 1
Prepare Lobster Tails
Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of the lobster tails lengthwise to expose the meat. Gently pull the meat out and lay it on top of the shell.
- 2
Prepare King Crab Legs
Thaw the king crab legs if frozen. Use a mallet to crack the shells slightly for easier eating later.
- 3
Prepare Shrimp
Ensure shrimp are peeled and deveined. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 4
Prepare Mussels
Rinse mussels under cold water and scrub the shells to remove any debris. Remove the beards if present.
- 5
Prepare Clams
Soak clams in cold water for 30 minutes to purge sand. Rinse well before cooking.
Herb Butter Preparation
- 6
Make Herb Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cooking
- 7
Cook Seafood
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add mussels and clams, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes until shells open. In a separate pot, steam the lobster tails and shrimp for about 8-10 minutes until the shrimp is pink and the lobster is opaque. For king crab legs, steam for 5-6 minutes until heated through.
