Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparation

Take the Tomahawk ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 1 hour before cooking.

  2. 2

    Seasoning

Generously season both sides of the steak with kosher salt and black pepper. Make sure to cover all surfaces for optimal flavor.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the steak to the skillet. Sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until a golden brown crust forms.

  4. 4

    Add Aromatics

In the last minute of cooking, add the garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs to the skillet. Baste the steak with the pan juices for added flavor.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the steak to a cutting board. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve on a platter, garnished with the roasted garlic and rosemary.
