Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Scallops

Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sear the Scallops

Add the scallops to the hot skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms. Remove the scallops and set aside.

  4. 4

    Add Flavor

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter, garlic, and thyme. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

Return the scallops to the pan, add lemon juice, and toss gently to coat. Cook for an additional minute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the scallops and drizzle with the garlic-thyme butter sauce. Serve immediately.
