Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the slices of bread into cubes. Toss the bread cubes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  2. 2

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to taste until well combined.

  3. 3

    Grill the Romaine

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Cut the romaine hearts in half lengthwise and brush the cut sides with a little olive oil. Place them cut side down on the grill and grill for about 2-3 minutes until slightly charred.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

Remove the grilled romaine from the grill and place it on a serving platter. Drizzle with the dressing, sprinkle with shaved Parmesan cheese, and top with garlic croutons. Serve immediately.
