Marinating the Beef

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine minced garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add to the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Cooking the Beef

  1. 3

    Cook the Beef

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly charred.

Preparing the Salad

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Dice the cucumber and tomatoes, thinly slice the red onion, and chop the parsley. Combine in a bowl.

  2. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.

Making the Sauce

  1. 6

    Prepare the Tahini Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, water, and salt until smooth and creamy.

Assembling the Bowls

  1. 7

    Assemble the Shawarma Bowls

In serving bowls, layer cooked rice, grilled beef, salad, and a dollop of hummus. Drizzle with tahini sauce and serve with pita bread on the side.
