Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Cook the Angus Beef Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the 6 oz Angus beef patty with salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 2

    Cook the Pecan Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook 4 slices of pecan bacon until crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 3

    Fry the Onion Straws

In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add 1 cup of onion straws and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

  3. 4

    Prepare BBQ Mayo

In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce until well combined.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Bun

Slice the burger bun in half and toast it lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Build the Burger

Spread the BBQ mayo on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Place the cooked Angus beef patty on top, followed by 2 slices of American cheese, 4 slices of crispy pecan bacon, and 1 cup of fried onion straws. Top with the other half of the bun.
