Tater Kegs

Method

Prepare Tater Kegs

  1. 1

    Cook Tater Tots

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen tater tots package. Spread the tater tots evenly on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown and crispy, typically around 20-25 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook Bacon

While the tater tots are baking, cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare Cheese and Chives

Grate the cheddar cheese if not pre-shredded. Finely chop the chives and set aside.

Assemble Totchos

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Once the tater tots are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. In a large bowl, mix the tater tots with the chopped bacon, grated cheddar cheese, and chopped chives until evenly combined.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Transfer the tater tot mixture to a serving platter or a large baking dish. Drizzle the queso blanco over the top. Then, layer the diced tomatoes, green onions, shredded lettuce, and black olives on top of the queso.

  3. 6

Finish with Salsa and Sour Cream

Finally, dollop salsa over the assembled totchos and mix the sour cream with the seasoning. Drizzle or dollop the seasoned sour cream over the top of the totchos.
